Biot Midge
Hook: Nymph or Scud Hook, x2 heavy #14-#20
Thread: Black or Brown Thread
Abdomen: Black, Brown or Olive Biot
Wing Case*: Pupa, Light grey antron (*Optional)
Thorax: Peacock Hearl
Head: Optional Bead
Pheasant Tail Nymph
Hook: Nymph Hook, 10 – 14
Thread: Black or Brown Thread
Abdomen: Pheasant Tail Fibres
Thorax: optional peacock hearl, hare’s dubbing or Pheasant tail fibres
Thorax Cover: Pheasant tail fibres
Rib: Fine copper wire
Tail: Pheasant Tail Fibres
Head: Optional Gold bead
Pheasant Tail – Polish Variant
Just a slight take on the standard pheasant tail.
Cock feather fibres
Hot spot thread colour of your choice (fluoro pinks, reds, oranges etc)
Hare’s Ear
Hook: 8 – 22, down eye
Thread: Brown Thread
Abdomen: Hares ear fur
Thorax: Hares ear fur
Wing Case: Hen Pheasant tail
Rib: Fine copper wire
Tail: Hares mask guard feathers
