Pattern 1 – Monroe’s Killer

A pattern tied by Frank Moor’s at one of the club’s workshops on tying salmon flies and hair wings.

  • Hook: Partridge treble or double
  • Thread: Black
  • Tag & Rib: Gold oval tinsel
  • Tail: Hot orange hackle tip
  • Body: Black floss
  • Hackle: Hot orange cock
  • Throat hackle: Blue guinea fowl
  • Wing: Yellow squirrel tail

Pattern 2 – Busy Elk Hair Caddis

A pattern tied by Paul Procter during his visit to the club. This pattern is similar to a grayling pattern tied by Malcolm Greenhalgh during his visit.
